Damage from long-term exposure to loud sounds, often referred to as “noise,” can result in permanent hearing loss and cause tinnitus.

Most people think of loud sounds (noise) as fireworks, machinery, aircraft, construction equipment, traffic, sirens, and the list goes on. Any music can also be a source of “sound (noise) exposure.” Any sound(s) can be damaging when the sound is loud enough or present over a prolonged period of time.
